High Schools Youth Services
Since North Staffs Youth For Christ first came into existence in 1997, we have been committed to serving staff and pupils in both primary and secondary schools across North Staffordshire.
Our team has grown and changed rapidly over eight years of engaging with local schools but our commitment to you remains the same.
Within the work of the High Schools team we have identified four core outcomes that we are working towards:
- To support the secondary schools of North Staffordshire in encouraging the spiritual, emotional, moral and social development of their students.
- To communicate the message of Christianity in a meaningful and relevant way to secondary school students across North Staffordshire.
- To support young Christians in secondary schools and empower them to live out their faith in a multicultural and multi-faith school society.
- To encourage strong community links between secondary schools and local churches.
ALL OUR SERVICES CAN BE MIXED, MATCHED & ADAPTED TO SERVE THE NEEDS OF EACH UNIQUE SCHOOL COMMUNITY...
Our team have proven experience working in areas including RE, PSHE, Citizenship, leadership training & personal development and can provide assistance (long term or relatively last minute) on a variety of national curriculum themes as suggested or requested by teachers.

Some of the services we offer include:
- Assemblies – our team will offer assemblies on any theme requested by a school from a Christian perspective using teaching, multimedia, games and reflection to present ‘an act of worship of a broadly Christian nature’ in a fresh and exciting way!
- Seasonal Presentations – these are 45 minute assembly presentations available at certain times of year. We use multimedia, games, drama, story-telling, teaching, and student participation to explore the relevance of the major Christian festivals (Christmas and Easter) for young people today.
- Lessons – our team are experienced in providing exciting, interactive lessons (RE, PSHE and Citizenship) and often find that pupils gain a fresh understanding of a theme through hearing different voices to their usual teachers and by meeting ‘real-life’ Christians whose lifestyles reflect their faith. Lessons may be booked individually or as a series.
- Half or whole day conferences – these give a chance to explore a particular theme in greater detail or to cover several topics in one day. Using a workshop style, we have in the past run conferences exploring a wide range of topics from personal spirituality and church through to sexual morality, drugs and alcohol use.
Schools also call on us for any other needs related to Spirituality or the Christian faith. Our team have been asked to speak at carol services, memorial events and other events with a religious nature. We are also sometimes called on to advise staff or offer pastoral services.
We are excited to serve our local high schools and colleges in any way that we can and are always willing to discuss new and creative ways that we might meet the needs of any school or college community.
